Derby Grammar School
Rykneld Sports Centre is a friendly, local facility based in Mackworth, Derby, just off Prince Charles Avenue (old Derby College site).
We are owned and run by Derby Grammar School who have almost exclusive use of the site during the day. However, during lunchtimes, evenings and weekends we are available for external bookings and hire for individuals, teams and clubs.

During school holiday time the Fitness suite may be available to use during the day throughout the week. Please check with the centre first.
Please note, customers are required to use the website Pitchbooking to book the Sports Centre facilities and not OpenPlay as previously done so. This booking system requires customers to pay upfront for their booking and not when they attend the facility. If you require a block booking, please contact the centre to request a booking form.
