This week pupils in Primary School and Year 7 were treated to an instrumental showcase led by our amazing team of peripatetic staff.
The afternoon was designed to introduce pupils to the wide variety of instrumental lessons available at Derby Grammar School.
Mr Coley, Head of Music, explains: “Learning an instrument enriches our pupils’ lives and develops their confidence, focus and resilience. This is why we encourage every child at Derby Grammar School to have lessons on their chosen instrument.
“Our ethos is that of inclusion where every child, from Reception age to Year 13, is encouraged and inspired to actively engage in musical activities.”
Derby Grammar School offers a variety of qualified, expert music tutors who deliver individual music lessons, offering one-to-one music tuition on almost all instruments as well as excellent vocal coaching.
