This week students in the Juniors took part in the Bebras Computing Challenge. The challenge introduces computational thinking to students.
It is organised in over 60 countries and designed to get students all over the world excited about computing. Last November over 365,000 students took part in the UK, and over 3 million worldwide.
Each participant answers questions that focus on computational and logical thinking. The challenge spans from year 3 to year 13, and can lead to the Oxford University Computing Challenge- a tremendously exciting opportunity for students.
Last year 14 of our senior school students fell within the top ten percent nationally and went on to the OUCC. We are hoping that some juniors will follow in this success.
