Chinese New Year is a celebration which has been marked in numerous ways today at Derby Grammar School.

Adam in Year 4 gave a fantastic assembly to Years 3 and 4 all about how he and his family celebrate Chinese New Year, as well as the meaning behind the celebrations and why the Year of the Ox is especially poignant this year. The Year of the Ox represents strength, reliability, fairness and conscientiousness.

In the Infants, Reception to Year 2 took part in an afternoon of PSHE and RS, hearing Mrs Wheat read the story of the Chinese zodiac as well as earning some merits by demonstrating how they can show love and appreciation for those around them.holiday
