Just before half term all pupils in Years 9 and 10 successfully completed their Duke of Edinburgh Award practice expeditions in the Peak District. This term half term our Year 11, 12 and 13 pupils have also undertaken Silver and Gold expeditions, with the latter having finished just yesterday.
All pupils were supplied with their own individual tents, to keep within Covid guidelines, but otherwise the expeditions ran as they usually would.
At last we are able to get out into the countryside and give pupils a really worthwhile and challenging experience.
says Mr Hilliam, the School’s DofE Manager.
It was great to see the pupils improving their navigation skills and enjoying cooking together.
