On Wednesday 22 June, between 2:00pm – 3:20pm, our EYFS lead Mrs Norcross will be hosting an extra special Stay and Play event. Families with children aged 3-4 years old are invited to Derby Grammar School for an afternoon jam-packed with fun activities.

What can I expect?

Guests will have the opportunity to tour our new Infants building complete with modern facilities. Families can also chat with Mrs Norcross about the inclusive curriculum we follow, and how pupils’ starting point is assessed at the beginning of term so we can best support their development.

Of course there will also be some fun activities going on too for both children and parents to enjoy. Join in a treasure hunt, make pirate hats and princess tiaras, bake some delicious fairy bread and some pirate grog (yuk!), do some themed art all before you walk the plank.

What should I bring?

Children are invited to come dressed as a princess or pirate for this themed event. This is optional should your child wish to dress up. Aside from this, there is no need to bring anything else with you.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. This event is completely FREE to attend. Simply register your interest on our online booking form below and come along on Wednesday 22 June. Free parking is available on site for those travelling to school by car.

Derby Grammar Primary School is becoming co-educational from September 2022, making this one of the most exciting times to join our growing community. For more information on our decision to move to a co-educational Primary School, please read our FAQs.
