We are saying a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing Head of Year 7, Mrs Charnock. Mrs Charnock has been instrumental in mentoring our Year 7 pupils through their important transition from Primary School, helping them settle into the Senior School. She will be missed by us all. However, she is not going far as Mrs Charnock will continue to teach maths.
Stepping into the role is Miss Walker. Miss Walker has been at DGS for some time now, teaching Biology and contributing to the development of our Games programme, particularly for girls.
She and Mrs Charnock have been working together this term to achieve a seamless transition and she is looking forward to introducing herself to you all. We wish her all the best in her new role.
Parents, particularly of Primary and Year 7 are welcome to join Miss Walker virtually on Tuesday 20th April at 6pm for a brief introduction and an opportunity for Q&A. If you are unable to join us, a recording will be made available.
