Alumni achievements

One of the true measures of a School’s success can be seen in its alumni, not just in terms of their career and further academic achievements, but in their continued affection for the school and the strength of friendships within peer groups and across the school. So we were delighted to be contacted by Old Derbeian Nigel Byram recently.

The Derby Grammar School Community would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to Nigel on the publication of his debut novel entitled Death’s True Name, Pænvicta.

Nigel studied A levels in Ancient History, Economics and English Literature. He joined DGS into Year 7 and left DGS in July 2010 to study archaeology at Nottingham University. He now lives and works as an archeologist in East Anglia.
