Over the course of 2020/21 there have been more changes to the ways that we live our lives than we could ever have anticipated. I am not sure that I will ever be able to walk past a bottle of hand sanitizer again! One of the things that has really changed in education is the use of online resources.
Careers provision has transformed with virtual open days, zoom meetings and webinars. One which came through recently for parents looks interesting, so I thought I would share it with you. It’s an invitation to two summer term events for parents called “Success Beyond School”. These are live online seminars and the link is below if you are interested in investigating.
The seminars are called “Own the Room” (How to power up your child’s public speaking skills), and “Success in the City” (How to land a top job in the city.) These events are for parents of students aged 12-18 and free to attend. I must point out however that they are being offered by a commercial company which has no links with Derby Grammar School.
