Lower Sixth pupil, Adam, this week found out that he passed his ARSM (Associate of the Royal Schools of Music) Diploma. The exam board was the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music).
This diploma is the exam students take after grade 8 and qualifies him to use the letters ARSM after his name.
As a student of Derby Grammar School, Adam is a committed musician who wants to pursue a career in Music Production. He appreciates the support of our Head of Music Nik Coley,
We’re so delighted for Adam, he is a shining example of the excellent work undertaken by the music department here at DGS.
His trumpet teacher and music mentor (from Hot House Music @hhyouthjazz) Jonathan Eno BEM is delighted with the result stating,
The ARSM is a super qualification open to all musicians. I am exceptionally proud of Adam, he is a great student who really cares about music. This recent success will enable Adam to join our international award winning Screaming Kicks Big Band on their next tour to New York where Adam will get to work with some of the greatest musicians in the world.
